WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
In their new workshop designed for children between the ages of 8 and 15, internationally award winning photography team Randy and Caroline Brogen and their partner, Dan Wims help young "Shutterbugs" learn how to make the best photos they can with light and their digital camera in this fun, hands-on course where they’ll learn about their camera, its settings as well as basic photography terms and concepts.
Photography begins with light…Light is critical to creating images. The approach taken by many photographers is to shine light onto their subject, but in this course Randy and Caroline want the Shutterbugs to think of photography as "painting a picture" – their picture – with light. Once everyone “gets the picture” about their equipment and its capabilities in the classroom, Randy and Caroline will take them out on a mini photo safari to apply what they’ve learned. They finish up the day back in the studio to get feedback on their images to help see what worked and where a little more light needs to be shed.
